ROYAL MUSEUMS GREENWICH

Illustration + Design for Exhibition Displays

Illustration, Creative Direction, Icon Design

I was thrilled when the National Maritime Museum got in touch asking if I would work with them on their Guiding Lights Exhibition. They tasked me with creating a group of large scale graphic illustrations that would be worthy of hanging on a museum wall and tell the story of the exhibition.

With a fantastic nautical colour palette to work with, I developed an illustrative style that complimented the overall exhibition design being developed by the in-house NMM team. The final project included a group of icons to represent specific maritime dangers, a giant wall graphic (and I mean GIANT!) showing where these dangers occur and a map of the UK showing all of the lighthouses and light-vessels.

“The exhibition looks tremendous and brings Trinity House to the visitors in a most accessible yet considered way.”
